Marketing Assistant

Horan Automation and Consulting requires a marketing assistant to work for its new Joint Venture company “Boxline Europe”. The main role will be to work with the Operations and Marketing Director to bring the products to market in Europe.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Research of the European Market
  • Building and maintaining databases in accordance with GDPR guidelines
  • Liaising with outside stakeholders such as the media, suppliers, customers
  • Administration and quotation preparation
  • Website maintenance
  • PR (writing of articles and submission)
  • Events planning
  • Representing the business at various business meetings
  • Attendance at and organisation of trade fairs
  • Minimal overseas travel
  • Implementation of strategic marketing plan
  • Marketing research (customer research, marketing reporting)
  • Adhering to budgets as set by the strategic plan
  • Social media updates
  • Direct marketing design and execution (newsletters etc.)

Photoshop or equivalent design skills an advantage but not necessary as training will be given.

Degree in marketing or experience in marketing considered

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: €28,000.00 to €30,000.00 /year

Service Engineer (with English & Czech/Polish/Hungarian language)

Horan Automation and Consulting is a rapidly growing SME that specialises in industrial robot integration and automation. The business is seeking a full time service engineer to join the team. The successful candidate must possess the following:

  • Ability to assemble machinery
  • Ability to understand and work from CAD drawings
  • Ability to build control panels from electrical drawings
  • Ability to test and de-bug machines
  • Ability to install machines on site
  • Ability to work with HMI and PLC controls
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to carry out maintenance and service work
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take ownership of own project
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Willingness to regularly travel outside of Ireland (Often to Europe, periodically to China)
  • Ability to respond to service calls out of hours
  • Full clean drivers licence
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in Czech or Polish is essential. Will consider a Hungarian speaker

Engineering Project Manager

July/Aug 2018

Job Description

Horan Automation & Consulting is a robotics and automation company located in South Tipperary. Due to a phase of rapid growth and expansion the company is seeking a Project Manager to lead the manufacturing team. The role will be based in South Tipperary but will involve lots of domestic travel. The ideal candidate will posses:

  • A degree or equivalent in manufacturing, electrical or automation engineering
  • 5+ years experience in an engineering role
  • Management experience
  • PLC experience
  • Knowledge of 3D drawings ideally Solid Works
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexibility to work early/late hours where necessary
  • Strong team and work ethic
  • Ability to “hit the ground running” in a very busy environment

The successful candidate will manage a team of 4 and report to the Chief Operations Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to grow with an expanding business.
